In August 2019, Zion Lutheran Church will be celebrating its 150th anniversary.

On Sunday, August 11, 2019, Zion will hold a special service at 11:15am in commemoration of this historic event with a picnic to follow.  Rev. John Malcholz, Bishop of the ELCA Upstate New York Synod, will be presiding with assistance by Pastor Deborah Johnson.  All are welcomed to share in this celebration!


Warmest greetings from Zion Lutheran Church in Cohocton, New York. We’re a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) and have been serving our Lord Jesus Christ in central / western New York State since 1869. We’ve been growing in Christ in numbers and in new activities, both fellowship and community service.
